I also find it a little weird that Remy is planning the wedding rather than her mother. I loved this book although I was expecting more for the ending.
To avoid herself the pain she has seen her mother go through again and again she has always followed specific guidelines about dating, which -in general- have the purpose of her never getting too involved.
This is my third book by Ms. It does start off a little slow, lullayb Dessen has a way with words and really knows how to get into the minds of young women and tell their stories with honesty and innocence.

I think my most favorite part of this book is the time when Remy thinking to buy plastic ware for Dexter.

Luckily, Remy has her friends, who support her in her decision to keep things between her and guys light. When it works, love is pretty amazing. Despite her issues I totally loved her sassy, confident self.
In many ways this is a conventional teen story, but it’s one that’s done really, really well. The potato song might have been a bit ridiculous, but it was fun.
I’m on my second of hers right now, and I already like it better than this one, so maybe I’m just weird. Things have always to be in control because a step to an unknown direction will lose the balance that one keeps or at least hopes to maintain.

I always believed that your worst enemy is always yourself. Outside your skill base. It certainly doesn’t help that her mother has been married four times, and, at the beginning of the novel, is about to have her fifth wedding.
